Comparison review
Xperia 1 is a little bit better than the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, getting a general score of 82.6 against 80.1. Even when the Xperia 1 and the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren were only released with a couple of months difference, the Xperia 1 is somewhat lighter and just a little thinner. Sony Xperia 1 features a slightly better looking screen than OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1644 x 3840 and a better pixel density.
Xperia 1 features a bit bigger memory capacity for games and applications than OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 512 GB. The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren has just a little better processing power than Xperia 1, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren also has more RAM memory.
OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren counts with better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 23 percent bigger battery size. OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren takes greater photographs and videos than Xperia 1, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a same size camera aperture, the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren also has a back facing camera with way more mega-pixels, a way larger back camera sensor taking way higher quality videos and photographs and faster video frame rates.
Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1, else you can save some dollars and buy the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, letting go a couple specs and features.
