Comparison review
The OnePlus 9 is a bit better than the OnePlus 7T, getting a 76 score against 72.2. OnePlus 9 is a newer phone than the OnePlus 7T, although it is a little thicker and just a little heavier. Both devices in this review come with the same Android 11 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any differences in that aspect.
OnePlus 7T features a bit faster processing unit than OnePlus 9. Both have the same number of cores and 8 GB of RAM memory. OnePlus 9 counts with a display that is just as good as OnePlus 7T's display, they have the same pixels density, the same exact resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a display with the same size.
OnePlus 9's storage for apps and games is very similar to the OnePlus 7T one, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity. The OnePlus 9 counts with just a little better battery performance than OnePlus 7T, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity. The OnePlus 9 features a bit better camera than OnePlus 7T, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for low light photography and video, and they both have a 48 mega-pixels back camera, the OnePlus 9 also counts with a much bigger sensor which gives a much higher image and video quality and a much better video resolution.
Although OnePlus 9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the OnePlus 7T, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as OnePlus 7T. If you want to save some money, you can get OnePlus 7T, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
