Comparison review
Xperia 1 III is much better than the OnePlus 7T, having a 93.3 score against 72.2. These phones use the same Android 11 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding that. Xperia 1 III's construction has the same thickness than OnePlus 7T, but it is just a little lighter. The Xperia 1 III has a more vivid screen than OnePlus 7T, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Xperia 1 III also has a much greater pixel number per screen inch and a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution.
Xperia 1 III features a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than OnePlus 7T, because it has an external SD slot that allows up to 1 TB and more internal storage. The Xperia 1 III counts with a processing unit that's just as good as the OnePlus 7T one, and although the Xperia 1 III has more RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Xperia 1 III features just a bit better battery duration than OnePlus 7T, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity. OnePlus 7T shoots much better pictures and videos than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has a smaller sensor which offers a lower photo and video quality and lower 60 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the OnePlus 7T also counts with a camera in the back with a much better 48 megapixels resolution and a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low light images and videos.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more than the OnePlus 7T, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as OnePlus 7T. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy OnePlus 7T, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your money.
