Comparison review
The Galaxy A42 has a global score of 87, which is better than the OnePlus 8 Pro's score of 77.2. Although the Galaxy A42 and the OnePlus 8 Pro were released with only a few months difference, the Galaxy A42 body is a little lighter but also a little bit thicker than the OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a bit superior processor than Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM.
OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a way better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 3168, a little larger display and a way greater number of pixels per inch in the display. The OnePlus 8 Pro has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have a 48 megapixels resolution back camera, a F1.8 aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has better video frame rates.
The Galaxy A42 has a very superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than OnePlus 8 Pro, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Galaxy A42 also has a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with just a little bit longer battery duration than OnePlus 8 Pro, because it has an 11 percent bigger battery capacity.
