The Galaxy M40 has an overall score of 85, which is better than the OnePlus 8 Pro's 77.2 score. Galaxy M40 is an older cellphone than OnePlus 8 Pro, but Samsung could make it somewhat lighter and just a bit thinner. OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a little better performance than Galaxy M40, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM.
The OnePlus 8 Pro has a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has a better display pixel density, a little bigger screen and a higher 1440 x 3168 pixels resolution. OnePlus 8 Pro shoots better pictures and videos than Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light images, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the OnePlus 8 Pro also counts with a much higher 48 mega pixels resolution camera, better 60 frames per second video frame rate and a lot bigger sensor which offers a much better photo and video quality.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 features much more storage to install games and applications than OnePlus 8 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. OnePlus 8 Pro counts with superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has a 29% more battery capacity.
