Comparison review
Xperia 1 has a general score of 82.6, which is a bit better than OnePlus 8 Pro's 77.2 overall score. Even though Xperia 1 is older than OnePlus 8 Pro, it's body is a little thinner and lighter. OnePlus 8 Pro has a little sharper screen than Xperia 1, because although it has a little lower display pixels density and a quite lower resolution of 1440 x 3168px, it also counts with a lot brighter display and a quite bigger screen.
The Sony Xperia 1 has a very superior storage to store more apps and games than OnePlus 8 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Sony Xperia 1 and OnePlus 8 Pro count with very similar CPUs, and although the Sony Xperia 1 has a lower amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores.
OnePlus 8 Pro captures much better pictures and videos than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same video quality, the OnePlus 8 Pro also counts with a much more mega pixels camera in the back, faster 60 fps video frame rate and a way bigger back-facing camera sensor.
The OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a very superior battery life than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 4510mAh battery capacity instead of 3330mAh.
The Xperia 1 costs more than OnePlus 8 Pro, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a better phone for that extra money.
