Comparison review
The Xperia 5 III has an overall score of 90.5, which is much better than OnePlus 8 Pro's 77.2 global score. Xperia 5 III's design is newer, a bit thinner and lighter than the OnePlus 8 Pro. The Xperia 5 III's processing unit is very similar to OnePlus 8 Pro's CPU, both of them have a 8 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core CPU.
The OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a more vivid display than Sony Xperia 5 III, because it has a bit more pixels per inch in the screen, a higher resolution of 1440 x 3168 and a little larger display. The Xperia 5 III has a very superior memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than OnePlus 8 Pro, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1 TB.
The OnePlus 8 Pro shoots much better videos and photos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for capturing pictures or video in low light environments and lower video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the OnePlus 8 Pro also counts with a camera in the back with lot more megapixels and a bigger back-facing camera sensor.
OnePlus 8 Pro has just a bit longer battery duration than Sony Xperia 5 III, because it has a 4510mAh battery capacity.
