Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Compact has a global score of 79, which is slightly better than the OnePlus 8 Pro's general score of 77.2. Xperia XZ2 Compact is a way older and much thicker cellphone than OnePlus 8 Pro, but Sony was able to build it somewhat lighter anyway. The OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a slightly better display than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a higher resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, a much brighter screen, a lot larger display and a just a little more pixels per inch of screen.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a greater memory capacity for applications and games than OnePlus 8 Pro, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits up to 400 GB. OnePlus 8 Pro features a little bit better performance than Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has 4 GB more RAM memory.
OnePlus 8 Pro captures better videos and photos than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rate, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has a larger aperture to capture better photos and videos in poorly lited environments, a much larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a camera in the back with much more megapixels.
OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a much longer battery life than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 57% larger battery size.
