Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Premium is a bit better than OnePlus 8 Pro, getting a general score of 82.2 against 77.2. The Xperia XZ2 Premium construction is older, somewhat heavier and notably thicker than OnePlus 8 Pro. The Xperia XZ2 Premium's CPU is very similar to the processor in OnePlus 8 Pro, and although the Xperia XZ2 Premium has 2 GB less RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a little sharper display than OnePlus 8 Pro, because although it has much lower brightness and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better pixels number in each display inch and a better 2160 x 3840px resolution. Xperia XZ2 Premium features more memory capacity to install games and applications than OnePlus 8 Pro, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 400 GB.
OnePlus 8 Pro counts with better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 4510mAh battery size instead of 3540mAh. OnePlus 8 Pro shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has better 60 frames per second video frame rates, a camera with a much better resolution and a much larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is more expensive than the OnePlus 8 Pro, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
