Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 has a score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than the OnePlus 8 UW's 75.9 score. Despite of the fact Sony Xperia 1 is older and just a little thicker than the OnePlus 8 UW, it's construction is still a little lighter. Xperia 1 features just a bit better display than OnePlus 8 UW, because although it has much worse brightness, and they both have a screen with the same size, the Xperia 1 also counts with way more pixels per inch of screen and a way better resolution of 1644 x 3840px.
Sony Xperia 1's CPU is just as good as OnePlus 8 UW's processing unit, and although the Sony Xperia 1 has lesser RAM memory, they both have 8 cores. The OnePlus 8 UW captures way better videos and photos than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low-light images, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the OnePlus 8 UW also counts with better video frame rates, a way larger sensor shooting way higher quality videos and photos and a camera in the back with a much better resolution.
Xperia 1 features a much better storage capacity for apps and games than OnePlus 8 UW, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Xperia 1 also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 512 GB. The OnePlus 8 UW features longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 4300mAh battery capacity.
The Xperia 1 costs more money than OnePlus 8 UW, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
