Comparison review
Xperia 1 III is much better than the OnePlus 8 UW, with a 93.3 score against 75.9. Both phones in this review have Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia 1 III has a newer 11 version and OnePlus 8 UW has Android 10 version, so it provides you some nice extra features. The Xperia 1 III is a newer phone than the OnePlus 8 UW, but it is just a little bit heavier and a little bit thicker.
The Sony Xperia 1 III has just a bit better processing power than OnePlus 8 UW, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Sony Xperia 1 III has a bit more vivid screen than OnePlus 8 UW, and although they both have a same size display, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a much higher pixel quantity per inch in the screen and a way better resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels.
The OnePlus 8 UW has a little bit better camera than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has slower video frame rate, a smaller aperture and a smaller camera sensor shooting lower quality videos and pictures, and they both have the same video quality, the OnePlus 8 UW also counts with a back camera with a much higher resolution.
The Xperia 1 III has a superior storage for games and applications than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has 256 GB internal storage and a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB. Sony Xperia 1 III counts with just a bit longer battery lifetime than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4300mAh.
The Xperia 1 III costs a lot more than the OnePlus 8 UW, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
