Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is slightly better than OnePlus 8 UW, with a 79 score against 75.9. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact design is a little bit lighter than the OnePlus 8 UW, although it is extremely thicker and was released 2 years before. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and OnePlus 8 UW has Android 10 version, so it counts with lots of additional features and optimized performance.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has a bit more vivid display than OnePlus 8 UW, because although it has a lot smaller display, much less brightness and a quite lower 1080 x 2160 resolution, it also counts with a just a little better pixel density. Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a bigger memory capacity for games and applications than OnePlus 8 UW, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB.
The OnePlus 8 UW counts with a little faster processor than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 8 UW also has more RAM memory. OnePlus 8 UW shoots much clearer photos and videos than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same 60 frames per second video frame rates, the OnePlus 8 UW also has a bigger sensor capturing higher quality videos and photographs, a bigger aperture to take better low-light captures and a camera in the back with a much better resolution.
The OnePlus 8 UW has a superior battery duration than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 50% greater battery size.
