The Xiaomi Mi 8 is a bit better than the OnePlus 8 UW, getting an 83.3 score against 75.9. Both of these phones come with the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't see any difference in that aspect. Although Xiaomi Mi 8 is older than the OnePlus 8 UW, it's construction is a little bit lighter and a bit thinner.
OnePlus 8 UW counts with a little more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a just a bit greater pixel amount in each inch of screen, a lot brighter screen, a bit higher 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a little larger screen. The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a much bigger memory to install applications and games than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity. OnePlus 8 UW shoots a lot better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a F1.8 camera aperture and the same video definition, the OnePlus 8 UW also has a way bigger sensor shooting way better quality photos and videos, a back-facing camera with much more megapixels and faster 60 fps video frame rates.
The OnePlus 8 UW has improved battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 4300mAh battery capacity.
