OnePlus 9 has a general score of 76, which is slightly better than the OnePlus 8 UW's 75.9 global score. Even though the OnePlus 9 is newer than OnePlus 8 UW, it's a little thicker and just a bit heavier. Both phones in this review work with Android OS, but OnePlus 9 has the newer 11 version and OnePlus 8 UW has Android 10 version, providing the user a couple additional features and a performance increase.
The OnePlus 8 UW features a bit sharper display than OnePlus 9. Both have a greater pixels amount per inch in the display, an equal resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a screen with the same size. OnePlus 8 UW has a processing unit that's just as good as the OnePlus 9 one, both have 8 cores and 8 GB of RAM.
OnePlus 9 has just a bit better camera than OnePlus 8 UW, and although they both have a 48 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera and a same size diafragm aperture, the OnePlus 9 also has a way higher 7680x4320 video resolution and a much bigger back camera sensor providing a way higher image quality.
OnePlus 8 UW's memory for apps and games is just as good as the OnePlus 9 one, both have equal 128 GB internal storage. OnePlus 9 features a bit better battery life than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 4300mAh.
The OnePlus 9 not only is the best phones in our comparison, but it's also cheap compared to the other phone.
