Comparison review
The Xperia 5 II is much better than the OnePlus 9, getting a overall score of 87.2 against 76. Xperia 5 II is a just a little thinner and lighter phone than OnePlus 9, even when both were released with only 6 months difference. Xperia 5 II's CPU is very similar to the CPU in OnePlus 9, they have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core CPU.
The Xperia 5 II has a slightly better screen than OnePlus 9, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher 1080 x 2520 resolution and a little bit more pixels per inch in the display. OnePlus 9 takes much better photos and videos than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for low light photography and videos, it also counts with a larger sensor, a lot better video quality and a back camera with a way better 48 mega-pixels resolution.
The Sony Xperia 5 II features a much bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than OnePlus 9, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1000 GB.
OnePlus 9 features just a bit longer battery performance than Sony Xperia 5 II, because it has a 4500mAh battery size against 4000mAh.
The Xperia 5 II costs more money than the OnePlus 9, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
