Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but the HTC One M9 has older 5.0 version and OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) has Android 15. The HTC One M9 has a much greater hardware performance than OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored), because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have 8 cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with an additional graphics processing unit and a 64-bit processing unit.
HTC One M9 has a lot better display than OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored), because although it has a lot worse 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater pixels count in each inch in the screen. The OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) has a much better storage for apps and games than HTC One M9, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 480 GB more internal storage capacity.
OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) counts with a really longer battery life than HTC One M9, because it has 5700mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh. The OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) takes much better photos and videos than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) also has a back camera with a much higher resolution, a bigger back camera sensor capturing higher quality videos and photos, better 60 frames per second video frame rates and a way bigger aperture.
