Both devices in this review work with Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 20 lite has a newer 8.1 Oreo version while OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) has Android 15. The Huawei Mate 20 lite has a much better performance than OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored), although it has 12 GB less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
Huawei Mate 20 lite has a little sharper display than OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored), although it has a way lower resolution of 1080 x 2340px, a bit smaller screen and a just a bit worse screen density. The OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) captures greater photographs and videos than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because it has a way more megapixels back-facing camera, a much better video resolution and a bigger aperture to take better low-light images.
OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) counts with a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory. OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) features a way better battery life than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because it has 5700mAh of battery capacity instead of 3750mAh.
