Both phones in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version and OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) has Android 15 version, providing a couple nice extra features.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus features a much faster processing unit than OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored), although it has less RAM memory and 4 lesser processing cores. Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus features just a bit better screen than OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored), although it has a lot smaller screen, a little lower amount of pixels per inch of display and a way worse 1080 x 1920 resolution.
The OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) takes a lot better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, the OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) also has a larger aperture, a back camera with lot more mega pixels, better 60 frames per second video frame rate and a way bigger sensor capturing much better quality videos and photographs.
The OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) counts with a lot bigger storage to install games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has 384 GB more internal storage. The OnePlus Open 2 (Rumored) has a way better battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has a 50% more battery size.
