Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy A40 has an overall score of 79.6, which is slightly better than the OPPO Reno2's 73.9 score. Samsung Galaxy A40 is a somewhat thinner and noticeably lighter device than OPPO Reno2, although both were only released with a couple of months difference. Both devices in this comparison review include Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy A40 has a more recent 11 version and OPPO Reno2 has Android 10, giving some nice extra features.

Galaxy A40 features a little sharper screen than OPPO Reno2, because although it has a little bit worse 1080 x 2340 resolution and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better screen pixels density. OPPO Reno2 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have 8 cores, the OPPO Reno2 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The OPPO Reno2 shoots greater pictures and videos than Galaxy A40, and although they both have a F1.7 diafragm aperture, the OPPO Reno2 also has a much better (4K) video resolution, a lot higher resolution back-facing camera and a much larger back camera sensor which offers a lot higher image and video quality.

OPPO Reno2 features a very superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy A40, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 512 GB, the OPPO Reno2 also has 256 GB internal memory. The OPPO Reno2 features superior battery performance than Galaxy A40, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 3100mAh.
