Comparison review
Galaxy M40 is much better than OPPO Reno3 Pro, getting a global score of 85 against 72. Even when Galaxy M40 and the OPPO Reno3 Pro were released only 9 months apart, Galaxy M40 is just a little thinner and just a little bit lighter. Both of these phones have the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding that.
The OPPO Reno3 Pro has a brighter display than Galaxy M40, because it has a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400, a just a bit better pixels count per inch in the display and a quite bigger screen. The Samsung Galaxy M40 features a much greater memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than OPPO Reno3 Pro, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
OPPO Reno3 Pro counts with a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy M40, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the OPPO Reno3 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM. The OPPO Reno3 Pro counts with just a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy M40, because it has a 4025mAh battery size. The OPPO Reno3 Pro shoots much better pictures and videos than Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for taking pictures in low light situations, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the OPPO Reno3 Pro also counts with a back-facing camera with a way better resolution and a lot larger camera sensor.
