Comparison review
Galaxy M40 has a general score of 85, which is better than the OPPO Reno5 Pro's score of 71.9. Galaxy M40 is an older and a bit thicker cellphone than OPPO Reno5 Pro, but Samsung was able to make it a little lighter anyway. Both phones we compare here have Android OS, but the Galaxy M40 has the previous 10 version while OPPO Reno5 Pro has Android 11 version.
OPPO Reno5 Pro has a sharper display than Galaxy M40, because although it has a quite lower screen pixels density, it also counts with a little larger screen and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px. Samsung Galaxy M40 features a much bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than OPPO Reno5 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has a SD memory slot that admits up to 512 GB.
The OPPO Reno5 Pro features a bit better CPU than Samsung Galaxy M40, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the OPPO Reno5 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM. OPPO Reno5 Pro has improved battery performance than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has 4350mAh of battery capacity. The OPPO Reno5 Pro shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy M40, and although they both have the same video definition, the same video frame rates and the same camera aperture, the OPPO Reno5 Pro also has a way more megapixels back facing camera.
