The Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is much better than OPPO Reno5 Pro's general score of 71.9. Both devices in this review use Android OS, but Galaxy Note8 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and OPPO Reno5 Pro has Android 11, giving some additional features. Galaxy Note8's construction is extremely older, somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker than OPPO Reno5 Pro.
The OPPO Reno5 Pro features a little faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Note8, and although they both have 8 cores, the OPPO Reno5 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM. OPPO Reno5 Pro counts with a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a little bit less pixels per screen inch and a way lower 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, it also counts with a little bigger display.
The OPPO Reno5 Pro takes better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and a F1.7 camera aperture, the OPPO Reno5 Pro also has a camera in the back with a way higher 64 MP resolution. Samsung Galaxy Note8 has slightly more storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than OPPO Reno5 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that admits up to 256 GB.
OPPO Reno5 Pro has greater battery performance than Galaxy Note8, because it has 4350mAh of battery capacity against 3300mAh.
