The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is a lot better than realme 8 5G, having a 90.9 score against 72. Despite being the best phone we are comparing, we must highlight that it's also a heavier and a bit thicker phone.

Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a bit superior processor than realme 8 5G, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has more RAM.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro shoots better videos and photos than realme 8 5G, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low light photography and video, it also counts with a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back facing camera with a higher 50 MP resolution. The realme 8 5G features a greater storage for games and applications than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with an external memory slot that supports up to 1 TB.
The realme 8 5G features just a bit better battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because it has a 14 percent bigger battery size.
