The Galaxy A42 is way better than the realme 8 5G, with a global score of 87 against 72. These devices work with the same Android 11 OS. The Galaxy A42 shoots a bit better pictures and videos than realme 8 5G, and although they both have a F1.8 camera aperture and the same resolution back facing camera, the Galaxy A42 also has a much better 3840x2160 video definition. Realme 8 5G and Galaxy A42 have incredibly similar batteries.
