The Samsung Galaxy A40 is slightly better than realme GT 5G, with a 79.6 score against 74.8. Samsung Galaxy A40 is an extremely older phone than the realme GT 5G, but it is just a little bit thinner and way lighter anyway. Both devices in this review include the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't see any differences regarding that.
Galaxy A40 features a screen that's very similar to realme GT 5G's screen, because although the Galaxy A40 has a quite smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2340px, it also counts with a little higher pixels amount per screen inch. The Samsung Galaxy A40 counts with a bigger storage capacity for apps and games than realme GT 5G, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 512 GB.
The realme GT 5G has a bit faster CPU than Galaxy A40, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the realme GT 5G also has a greater amount of RAM memory. The realme GT 5G captures greater photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for low-light images and video, it also counts with a much larger camera sensor capturing much higher quality photographs and videos, a back camera with lot more mega pixels and a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
The realme GT 5G has a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy A40, because it has a 4500mAh battery size instead of 3100mAh.
