The Moto Z2 Play has a general score of 77.4, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A01's 71.6 overall score. Despite of the fact that Moto Z2 Play is much older than the Samsung Galaxy A01, it's construction is much thinner and a little lighter. Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A01, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Motorola Moto Z2 Play also has 2 GB more RAM.
The Moto Z2 Play has just a bit better display than Galaxy A01, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better screen pixels density and a higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px. The Moto Z2 Play captures slightly better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy A01, because although it has a worse 12 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a lot larger camera aperture and a lot better (4K) video quality.
Motorola Moto Z2 Play features a very superior storage capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A01, because it has a SD extension slot that allows up to 1,95 TB and 48 GB more internal storage. Moto Z2 Play and Galaxy A01 have similar batteries performance.
Although Moto Z2 Play is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy A01, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy A01. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Moto Z2 Play, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy A01, resigning some features and specs.
