Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy A20, getting a general score of 76.6 against 74.7. Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is newer than the Samsung Galaxy A20, it is thicker and heavier. Both phones in this comparison review have Android operating system, but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has 10 version while Samsung Galaxy A20 has Android 11.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a brighter display than Galaxy A20, because it has a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2340px, a greater pixel count in each inch of display and a little larger display. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy A20. Both have the same number of cores and 3 GB of RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a very superior camera than Galaxy A20, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a larger aperture, a way higher 48 MP resolution back-facing camera and a lot larger back camera sensor providing a lot better image quality.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy A20, because although it has an external memory slot that supports up to 128 GB against 512 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has longer battery lifetime than Galaxy A20, because it has a 26% bigger battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy A20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy A20. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, otherwise you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy A20, giving up a couple features and specs.
