Samsung Galaxy A22 is a bit better than the Galaxy A5 (2017), getting a score of 76.1 against 75.8. Although Samsung Galaxy A22 is newer than Galaxy A5 (2017), it's somewhat heavier and a bit thicker. The Galaxy A22 has just a bit better processing power than Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A22 also has a larger amount of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has a much better display than Galaxy A22, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with much more pixels per inch in the display and a higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The Samsung Galaxy A22 shoots clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A22 also has a larger aperture to capture better low light photos and video and a lot higher 48 MP resolution camera.

Galaxy A22 features much more memory for games and applications than Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 1 TB and 64 GB internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has a way better battery life than Galaxy A22.
