The Samsung Galaxy A30 is slightly better than the Google Pixel 3a, having a overall score of 79.6 against 78.8. Samsung Galaxy A30's construction is somewhat heavier but just a bit thinner than Google Pixel 3a, and they were released only 2 months apart.
