Comparison review
The Asus ZenFone 8 has a general score of 83, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A31's 81.3 global score. Both phones in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but the Asus ZenFone 8 has a more recent 11 version while Samsung Galaxy A31 has Android 10, so it provides some nice extra features and performance optimizations. Even though the Asus ZenFone 8 is a little thicker than Samsung Galaxy A31, it's just a little lighter and newer.
The Asus ZenFone 8 features a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A31, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 2400 resolution, the Asus ZenFone 8 also counts with a little bit greater pixels density. The Asus ZenFone 8 features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy A31, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Asus ZenFone 8 also has more RAM memory.
The Asus ZenFone 8 has a better camera than Galaxy A31, because it has a bigger aperture for better low-light images, a way better 7680x4320 video resolution, a much better 64 megapixels resolution back facing camera and a bigger sensor. The Galaxy A31 features a better memory capacity for applications and games than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy A31 has improved battery lifetime than Asus ZenFone 8, because it has a 25% more battery size.
