Comparison review
Huawei Mate 40 Pro is much better than the Samsung Galaxy A31, having a global score of 90.9 against 81.3. These phones include the same Android 10 operating system, so you shouldn't notice any differences in that aspect. Despite being the best in our current comparison, Huawei Mate 40 Pro is a somewhat heavier and a bit thicker cellphone than the Samsung Galaxy A31.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a little better performance than Galaxy A31, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has more RAM. Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A31, because it has a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen, a higher 1334 x 2772px resolution and a little bit larger screen.
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro shoots better photographs and videos than Galaxy A31, because it has a much better (4K) video definition, a higher resolution back-facing camera, a way larger back-facing camera sensor taking lot higher quality videos and pictures and a bigger aperture for better photos and video in low light situations.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro has more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy A31, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 192 GB more internal storage. The Galaxy A31 counts with just a bit better battery duration than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
