Samsung Galaxy A31 has an overall score of 81.3, which is slightly better than Huawei P Smart (2021)'s 79.2 score. Although Samsung Galaxy A31 and the Huawei P Smart (2021) were only released with a couple months difference, Samsung Galaxy A31 is somewhat lighter and just a little bit thinner. Both of these phones use the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't see any difference regarding OS features.
Huawei P Smart (2021) features a CPU that is very similar to the processor in Samsung Galaxy A31, they have 4 GB of RAM and the same number of cores. Galaxy A31 counts with just a bit better display than Huawei P Smart (2021), because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 2400px, the Galaxy A31 also counts with a little better amount of pixels in each display inch.
The Huawei P Smart (2021) counts with much more memory to install games and applications than Galaxy A31, and although they both have a SD memory slot that admits up to 512 GB, the Huawei P Smart (2021) also has 128 GB internal memory. The Huawei P Smart (2021)'s battery life is just as good as the Samsung Galaxy A31 one.
Huawei P Smart (2021) has a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy A31, and although they both have the same resolution back facing camera and a 0.5 inches back camera sensor, the Huawei P Smart (2021) also has a larger diafragm aperture to take better photography and video in low-light situations and a way better 3840x2160 video resolution.
