Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A31 has an overall score of 81.3, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi 9T's 78.2 general score. Both phones in this review use the same Android 10 OS. Although the Samsung Galaxy A31 and the Xiaomi Redmi 9T were only released with a couple of months difference, the Samsung Galaxy A31 is just a bit lighter and somewhat thinner.
Xiaomi Redmi 9T's processing unit is just as good as the CPU in Samsung Galaxy A31, both of them have 4 GB of RAM memory and 8 CPU cores. Galaxy A31 counts with a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a quite better screen density.
Xiaomi Redmi 9T features as much memory capacity for games and applications as Galaxy A31, both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi 9T counts with improved battery life than Galaxy A31, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy A31 captures a bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low light captures and videos, they both have the same video frame rates, the same back-facing camera sensor size, the same (Full HD) video resolution and a same resolution back facing camera.
