Comparison review
Galaxy A31 has a general score of 81.3, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's overall score of 76.6. Both devices in this review come with the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so both should provide all the same operating system features. Even though the Galaxy A31 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 were released only a couple of months apart, the Galaxy A31 is a bit thinner and a little bit lighter.
Galaxy A31 counts with a bit better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a quite greater display density and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a processing unit that's just as good as the Samsung Galaxy A31 one, and although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 CPU cores.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy A31, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, a 0.5 inches sensor, a 48 MP back-facing camera and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a larger diafragm aperture.
Samsung Galaxy A31 counts with more memory to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Samsung Galaxy A31 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's battery duration is just as good as the battery life in Samsung Galaxy A31, although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a 5020mAh battery capacity instead of 5000mAh.
