Comparison review
The Galaxy A40 has a score of 79.6, which is a little bit better than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2)'s 77.4 global score. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy A40 has older 11 version while Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie version. Even though the Galaxy A40 and Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) were released only a couple of months apart, the Galaxy A40 is just a bit thinner and somewhat lighter.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has just a bit better display than Galaxy A40, because although it has a quite lower 1080 x 2280px resolution and a quite worse pixel density, it also counts with a little bigger screen. Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) features a much greater memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has 128 GB internal storage and a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) captures clearer videos and photos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a back camera with way less mega pixels resolution, a smaller back-facing camera sensor capturing lower quality photographs and videos and a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for low-light photos and video, it also counts with a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
