The Galaxy A40 has a global score of 79.6, which is slightly better than Honor 50 Pro's 77 general score. The Galaxy A40 construction has the same thickness than Honor 50 Pro, but it is incredibly lighter. These phones include the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so both of them should count with very similar OS features.
The Honor 50 Pro features just a little better processing power than Galaxy A40, and although they both have 8 cores, the Honor 50 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
