The Galaxy A40 has an overall score of 79.6, which is just a bit better than the Huawei Mate 10's 78.9 overall score. Both devices in this review come with Android operating system, but Galaxy A40 has 11 version while Huawei Mate 10 has Android 10 version, providing the user a lot of extra features. Galaxy A40 is a newer cellphone, and it's also a bit thinner and notably lighter than the Huawei Mate 10.
The Huawei Mate 10 counts with a better display than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Huawei Mate 10 also has a better 1440 x 2560px resolution and a little more pixels per inch of display. The Galaxy A40 counts with slightly more memory for apps and games than Huawei Mate 10, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A40 also has a SD memory slot that supports up to 512 GB.
The Huawei Mate 10 counts with a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A40. Both of them have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount. Huawei Mate 10 shoots slightly better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a smaller camera sensor offering a worse image quality and a back camera with a much worse 12 mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a way higher (4K) video definition and a larger diafragm aperture to take better images and videos in poorly lited environments.
The Huawei Mate 10 counts with greater battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 29% bigger battery capacity.
