The Galaxy A40 is slightly better than LG K52, with a 79.6 score against 76. Galaxy A40's body is a bit thinner and a lot lighter than the LG K52, despite of the fact that it was released around 20 months before. These devices come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy A40 has the newer 11 version while LG K52 has Android 10, so it provides lots of additional features and optimized performance.
The Galaxy A40 has a better looking display than LG K52, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a much better quantity of pixels per display inch. The LG K52 has a very superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy A40, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the LG K52 also has a SD memory slot that admits up to 1,95 TB.
The LG K52 counts with a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy A40. Both have 4 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. LG K52 takes a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for shooting images and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same video frame rate, the LG K52 also counts with a lot higher resolution camera and a lot larger back-facing camera sensor.
The LG K52 has improved battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 29 percent bigger battery size.
