Both devices in this review have Android operating system, but the Galaxy A40 has older 11 version and Motorola Edge 50 Plus (2024) has Android 14 version. The Samsung Galaxy A40 counts with a really superior performance than Motorola Edge 50 Plus (2024), although it has less RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.

The Samsung Galaxy A40 has a little more vivid display than Motorola Edge 50 Plus (2024), because although it has a little bit worse 1080 x 2340 resolution and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit greater pixels density. The Motorola Edge 50 Plus (2024) captures much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy A40, because it has a way higher 7680x4320 video resolution and a much higher 50 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera.
