Comparison review
Galaxy A40 has an overall score of 79.6, which is just a bit better than Moto Z3 Play's 76.3 overall score. Galaxy A40 is a newer and lighter device than Moto Z3 Play, but it's also thicker. The Galaxy A40 has a bit better looking screen than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit better pixel amount in each screen inch and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
The Motorola Moto Z3 Play has a CPU that's just as good as the CPU in Samsung Galaxy A40, both have 8 processing cores and a 4 GB RAM. The Motorola Moto Z3 Play shoots clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a back-facing camera with a way lower 12 MP resolution, and they both have a same size aperture, the Motorola Moto Z3 Play also counts with a much better (4K) video definition and a larger sensor shooting higher quality videos and photos.
The Moto Z3 Play has a much bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the Moto Z3 Play also has an external SD slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. The Samsung Galaxy A40 features a bit superior battery performance than Moto Z3 Play, because it has 3100mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
