Comparison review
Galaxy A31 has an overall score of 81.3, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy A40's global score of 79.6. Both phones we are comparing here work with Android OS, but Galaxy A31 has the older 10 version and Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version. The Galaxy A31 body is newer, but notably heavier and a bit thicker than the Galaxy A40.
Galaxy A40 counts with a bit better looking display than Galaxy A31, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a quite lower 1080 x 2340px resolution, it also counts with a just a bit better pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy A31 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy A40. Both have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM.
The Galaxy A31 has as much storage for apps and games as the Samsung Galaxy A40, both have equal 64 GB internal storage and a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy A31 has a very superior battery lifetime than Galaxy A40, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 3100mAh. The Samsung Galaxy A31 captures much better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low light photography and video, and they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A31 also counts with a way more mega pixels camera and a way larger back-facing camera sensor which provides a lot better photo and video quality.
