Galaxy A42 is slightly better than the Galaxy A40, having a score of 87 against 79.6. Although the Galaxy A42 is newer than the Galaxy A40, it's a bit thicker and heavier. Both of these devices come with the same Android 11 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't see any differences regarding that.
