The Galaxy A40 has an overall score of 79.6, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Note 5's 79.3 general score. Even though Galaxy A40 is just a bit thicker than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, it's lighter and also noticeably newer. Both of these phones have Android operating system, but the Galaxy A40 has a newer 11 version and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has Android 5.1 version, so it provides you some nice extra features and performance improvements.

Galaxy A40 has a bit faster processor than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Galaxy A40 also has a greater number of cores (but slower). Galaxy Note 5 features a sharper screen than Galaxy A40, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater pixels density and a better 2560 x 1440px resolution.

The Galaxy A40 features a lot bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A40 also has a SD memory slot that holds up to 512 GB. Galaxy Note 5 captures just a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have a same resolution camera in the back, the Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a way higher (4K) video definition and a bigger sensor.
