Galaxy XCover FieldPro has an overall score of 80.1, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A40's general score of 79.6. Both of these phones include Android OS, but Galaxy XCover FieldPro has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version and Samsung Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version, providing lots of additional features and enhanced performance. The Galaxy XCover FieldPro is a newer phone than Samsung Galaxy A40, although it's much heavier and way thicker.

The Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a slightly better display than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a better pixels density. Galaxy XCover FieldPro counts with as much memory for games and applications as the Galaxy A40, both of them have an external SD slot that admits up to 512 GB and exactly the same internal memory.

Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro counts with a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy A40. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy A40 takes much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy XCover FieldPro, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for taking photos and videos in low-light situations and a smaller camera sensor which gives a worse image and video quality, and they both have the same (Full HD) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A40 also counts with a much better 16 megapixels resolution camera in the back.

Galaxy XCover FieldPro features a really longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 4500mAh battery size.
