Comparison review
The Xperia 1 VI has a general score of 83.2, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy A40's general score of 79.6. Xperia 1 VI's body is extremely lighter and much thinner than the Galaxy A40. Both devices in this comparison review include Android operating system, but the Xperia 1 VI has 14 version while Galaxy A40 has Android 11, offering a couple nice extra features and a performance increase.
The Xperia 1 VI counts with just a bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has more pixels per inch in the display, a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840px and a larger screen. The Galaxy A40 features a very superior hardware performance than Sony Xperia 1 VI, although it has 8 GB less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
Xperia 1 VI has a lot better camera than Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for shooting photos or video in low-light situations, it also counts with a way higher video resolution, a camera in the back with lot more mega-pixels and a much larger camera sensor taking way better quality photographs.
Sony Xperia 1 VI counts with a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy A40, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage. The Sony Xperia 1 VI features a much better battery performance than Galaxy A40, because it has a 61 percent more battery size.
