Comparison review
Galaxy A40 is a little bit better than Xiaomi 12, with a general score of 79.6 against 78.8. Both of these phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy A40 has an older 11 version and Xiaomi 12 has Android 12 version. Galaxy A40's body is a little bit thinner and extremely lighter than Xiaomi 12, even though it was released many years before.
The Xiaomi 12 features a little more vivid screen than Galaxy A40, because although it has a quite inferior pixels quantity in each inch in the display, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a little larger display. Galaxy A40 has a much powerful CPU than Xiaomi 12, although it has 4 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
The Galaxy A40 has a bigger memory for games and applications than Xiaomi 12, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Xiaomi 12 has a very superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
The Xiaomi 12 shoots way better photographs and videos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low-light images and video, it also counts with a much larger sensor which provides a lot higher photo and video quality, a way higher 7680x4320 video quality and a much higher 50 mega pixels resolution camera in the back.
