Comparison review
Galaxy A40 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, having a 79.6 score against 77.2. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but Galaxy A40 has an older 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has Android 8.1 Oreo version. Even when Galaxy A40 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro were only released 5 months apart, Galaxy A40 is lighter and a bit thinner.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has just a bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a just a bit lower display density and a bit lower 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution, it also counts with a quite larger display. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro counts with a little faster CPU than Galaxy A40, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM.
Galaxy A40 features slightly more storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Galaxy A40 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB. Samsung Galaxy A40 features just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor which provides a lower photo and video quality, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A40 also counts with a camera in the back with a much better 16 MP resolution and a larger aperture for better photos and videos in low-light situations.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features better battery life than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3100mAh.
