Comparison review
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy A40, getting a score of 81.1 against 79.6. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro construction is newer, but somewhat thicker and extremely heavier than the Samsung Galaxy A40. Both phones in this comparison review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has the older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro features just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM. The Galaxy A40 features a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit better pixels count in each screen inch.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has as much memory for applications and games as the Samsung Galaxy A40 one, both of them have a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB and exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro features a very superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 62% larger battery size.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro features a way better camera than Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for low-light photography and videos, it also counts with a much larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a back facing camera with a much higher resolution and a way better video quality.
