Comparison review
Google Pixel 4a 5G is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A42, getting an 87.5 score against 87. Even though the Google Pixel 4a 5G and the Samsung Galaxy A42 were released only a few months apart, the Google Pixel 4a 5G is lighter and a bit thinner. Both devices in this comparison have the same Android 11 OS.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G has a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Google Pixel 4a 5G also has more RAM. Google Pixel 4a 5G has a sharper screen than Galaxy A42, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a much better quantity of pixels per inch in the screen.
The Galaxy A42 counts with a very superior storage for applications and games than Google Pixel 4a 5G, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A42 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 1000 GB. The Galaxy A42 counts with just a bit better camera than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for taking photos or video in low light environments and worse video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy A42 also counts with a much higher 48 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.
