Samsung Galaxy A42 is better than Huawei Pocket S, having an 87 score against 78.2. The Samsung Galaxy A42 works with Android 11 operating system, while Huawei Pocket S has HarmonyOS 3 operating system. Even being the best in this review, we must note that it's also way older, thicker and a little heavier.
Huawei Pocket S features a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy A42, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei Pocket S also has a larger amount of RAM. Huawei Pocket S features a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because it has a little bit bigger screen, much more pixels per inch of display and a way better resolution of 1188 x 2790 pixels.
The Galaxy A42 shoots greater pictures and videos than Huawei Pocket S, and although they both have the same diafragm aperture, the Galaxy A42 also has a back camera with a better 48 mega pixels resolution. The Galaxy A42 has a very superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Huawei Pocket S, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A42 also has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.
Galaxy A42 has greater battery performance than Huawei Pocket S, because it has a 25 percent greater battery capacity.
